We are delighted to share highlights from the 26th Annual Katy 5K Presented by Michelob ULTRA. This event brought our community together in an extraordinary way.

This year's theme, "Glowing The Night Away," meant a lit-up evening!  Participants received glowing finishers' medals and enjoyed glow swings, cold plunges, and other creative activations throughout the venue from many generous sponsors and picnic partners.

The success of the Katy 5K couldn't have happened without the support of so many in the Katy Trail community. Your contributions created a fun and unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Not only did we raise over $315,000 for Friends of the Katy Trail but we also strengthened our bonds through this special night.

Friends of the Katy Trail has several recently available options for year-round recognition for your business or organization on the Katy Trail.  

Two Trail maintenance signs are available at the busy Katy Trail Ice House entrance to the Trail or in a beautiful area just north of Fitzhugh (shown below).

There is also an opportunity to be the Katy Trail Dog Stations sponsor and feature your business with a sticker on the 15 dog stations along the Trail.

Katy Trail community, thank you for your NTX Giving Day support on September 19! Gifts of all sizes poured in from early in the morning up until midnight.

Friends of the Katy Trail was thrilled to reach a Giving Day total of $89,766. Your combined donations translate into a big boost to FKT’s Fall 2024 operations funds.

Dallas Animal Services dog adoptions sponsored by Clay Cooley Auto Group will be back on the Trail at Snyder’s Union on Saturday, October 12, and Saturday, November 23.  

This year, you can also help out by bringing newsprint to line pet cages at Dallas Animal Services.  We will collect the newspapers at the adoptions events and take it to DAS.
