In the final days of 2024, the Staff and Board of Directors of Friends of the Katy Trail wish to express our thanks to all who use, love, and support the Katy Trail.
We send our best wishes for a happy and healthy 2025 and look forward to seeing you on the Trail in the new year.
Thanks to your support, 2024 has been an exciting and productive year for Friends of the Katy Trail. The year’s highlights include restoration of a mile of native plants landscaping, Art installations by Iván Argote and Eddie Martinez, a sold-out Katy 5K with 5,000+ participants, new Community Partners, and dog adoptions on the Trail.
Physical enhancements to the Trail this year include re-installation of areas of the red soft-surface path and the opening of the Staubach Pass plaza at the Harvard Crossing. And, to date, there are over 3.8 million visits to the Trail in 2024!
FKT is proud and grateful that the community continues to support the Katy Trail at such a high level and allows us to nurture this urban greenbelt for the benefit of Dallas area citizens and visitors. |

Your participation helps to support the amenities that those who walk, run, cycle, commute, and gather on the Trail enjoy. We partner with you through memberships, event sponsorships, and individual and corporate support to keep the Trail running in peak condition. |
