Major Donor Party Photos

Friends of the Katy Trail welcomed 200 supporters to the Trail’s annual Major Donor Party on May 2 at The Terminal at Katy Trail. Held outside in the Caroline Rose Hunt Garden Pocket Park, the party was a lovely evening celebrating the Trail.

It was good to see so many Katy Trail fans in such a beautiful setting, and we appreciate their good company and steadfast support.

And, thank you to the donor party’s generous Host Committee:  Carla Calabrese, Calvert Collins-Bratton, Tiffany Divis, Kaleta Blaffer Johnson, Kimber Kadesky, Leslie MacLean, Jeff Netzer, Kim Noltemy, Marcia and Bill Rafkin, Olivia and Andrew Rafkin, Ellen Stemmons, and Suzanne Warner.

Join to Attend the June 20 Member Party

Katy Trail members, join us for a Summer Get-Together at The Porch on June 20.

If you have been thinking about joining or renewing your Katy Trail membership to support your Trail, now is a good time!

Give/renew here, then reply to [email protected].

A current KT membership and a party reply by June 17 are required to attend; space is limited.

Alternate Bike Route!

The City of Dallas is exploring north-south bike route alternatives to the Katy Trail. This is especially important, as the Katy Trail has become increasingly crowded at peak hours. We would like a safe alternative offered to road bikes and bicycle commuters.

We ask that our Katy Trail community take a moment to explore the alternatives and vote for an option to make your voices heard. The survey will close June 23.

Use Caution - Trail Soft Surface

As you are likely aware, the soft-surface path on the Katy Trail is experiencing issues. We are actively working on this problem with multiple parties to determine a cause and the solution for these issues. Please use caution when utilizing the soft-surface path.

Dog Adoption Photos

The Dallas Animal Services Dog Adoptions event on the Katy Trail on June 1 was a people and dog party promoting adoptable pets at the city’s shelter, Dallas Animal Services. DAS is regularly overcapacity, and we are grateful to Clay Cooley Auto Group for sponsoring these regular dog adoptions on the Trail. Thanks also to realtor Tom Frei for handing out dog bag swag and to Juiceland for providing juice samples at the event.

Among the pets adopted were Bandit, Dellman, Nieves, and Posey!

Why adopt a DAS dog? All adoptions are free, your pet comes with a free microchip, which serves as your Dallas pet registration, and adoptions come with a free week of training with GoodPup.
